We are aiming to enhance our community by building a children’s playground at Bell Meadow. We had a target of £25k which we are delighted to have achieved through fundraising and grant applications.
With the main fundraising goal achieved, we now need to raise a smaller sum of £2500 to complete fencing, bins, signage etc. but work to begin the installation of the playgroud equipment is moving forward we have selected our Playgroudn supplier and await final planning approval. The build is planned for late Spring/early Summer 2021.

We are delighted to announce that we have now achieved our £25k target for the playground equipment and the Working Party are now proceeding with the next stage of the project. After careful consideration we have selected Caloo as our Playground supplier. The order will be placed very soon and it is planned that the build will take place in the Spring/Early Summer of 2021.
We launched our fundraising at Bell Meadow Day on 25th August 2019 where we had a stall to display information about the playground and also about the task of raising £25k in order to achieve the project. Some of this funding has been raised locally with events, crowd funding etc and we have been busy with Grant applications.
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £10,000 from the National Lottery Awards For All fund.
We are also delighted to announce that we have been awarded £10,000 from the Essex County Council Community Initiatives Fund.
We are also grateful to Essex County Council for a £1000 grant for picnic benches which has been awared from Councillor Penny Channer’s Locality Fund.
We still need to raise funds for the fencing, bins, signage etc. This is estimated to be in about £2,500.
Do get in touch if you have any experience or would like to get involved. You can email: email@example.com
It is hoped that the playground will be installed during Spring 2021.
