September 2021

We are delighted to announce that the Playground Installation works have commenced and are coming along nicely. We will keep you posted on progress and advertise the date of the Grand Opening in due course.

We are now in the process of enhancing our community by building a children’s playground at Bell Meadow. We have raised in excess of £30k through donations, fundraising and grant applications.

We are delighted to announce that we have now achieved our fundraising target for the playground and installation works have commenced.

After careful consideration we selected Caloo as our Playground supplier. The playground will be built from Robinia, a hard wood which is very natural in appearance and perfect for our rural setting at Bell Meadow. Skippers Ground Maintenance are our fencing contractor.

We launched our fundraising at Bell Meadow Day on 25th August 2019 where we had a stall to display information about the playground and also about the task of raising £25k+ in order to achieve the project.  Some of this funding has been raised locally with donations, events, crowd funding etc and we have been busy with Grant applications.

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £10,000 from the National Lottery Awards For All fund.

We are also delighted to announce that we have been awarded £10,000 from the Essex County Council Community Initiatives Fund.

We are also grateful to Essex County Council for a £1000 grant for picnic benches which has been awared from Councillor Penny Channer’s Locality Fund.

We have also been awarded £2500 from the Essex Community Foundation (Middlewick Windfarm and Crix Foundation).
